Wedgwood’s New Hand-Painted Bone China Collection ‘Floral Eden’

‘Floral Eden’ is inspired by the vibrant world of horticulture. Its origins can be found within the Wedgwood family’s links to the Royal Horticultural Society. As founder Josiah Wedgwood’s grandson, John Wedgwood was expected to take up a career which maintained the legacy of his family’s leading ceramic business. Against this predetermined course was John’s private passion for botany and horticulture. Putting his passion to good use whilst maintaining his links with the company, John Wedgwood became a founding member of the Royal Horticultural Society. The Floral Eden collection takes its inspiration from botanicals and flowers found within the RHS Botanical Gardens and collected by John Wedgwood. Blooms feature those found within a typical English country garden including periwinkle, freesia and geranium. The collection is made and hand-painted in Wedgwood’s factory at Barlaston, England and includes a teapot, sugar and creamer all in fine bone china. Accompanying these are teacup, saucer and coupe plate sets, featuring the country garden blooms together with climbing plants clematis, passion flower and wisteria. A collection of six designs can be collected singularly or styled together for a striking tea table setting. At the centre of this beautiful collection is the iconic Venus Bust portraying the Roman goddess of love in a limited edition of just 20 pieces.
