Royal Worcester, One of the Oldest Remaining English Fine Bone China Brands

Established in 1751 and now part of the Portmeiron Group, Royal Worcester received a royal warrant in 1789 and is still producing ceramics by appointment to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The Museum of Royal Worcester holds over 10,000 ceramic objects and is well worth a visit. It is situated amidst the old Victorian buildings that used to be home to the Royal Worcester factory and is proud to hold the largest collection of Worcester porcelain in the world. The Georgian, Victorian and 20th century galleries will take visitors on a journey through time while an informative audio tour features the factory’s history. This stunning pair of vases depicting the fight between Saint George and the dragon is painted and gilded by hand. Each vase displays a different scene of battle with soft background palettes contrasted with stark Acanthus scrollwork. Uniquely the back panel of each vase is left blank and is suitable for an inscription allowing for the personalisation of these pieces of art.
