Anguilla

Home to incredible beaches, Anguilla is a great place to relax.

Small in stature (only 16 miles by 3), the island has a laid back attitude, is extremely safe and five star hotels and restaurants are numerous. Here there are no cruise ships or big crowds, just an overwhelming sense of calm. Most of all though, the people of Anguilla are what makes this island so special. Elaine Hern is the owner of Anguilla based estate agency Properties in Paradise; she spoke to us about who tends to buy property here: “For the villa market is it mostly international investors from the USA, Canada and Europe. Villas are available for somewhere in region of $500,000 to $20 million.” At the very top end of this market, it seems there are only a select few homes to choose from at any one time, but what is available is picture perfect. Elaine says that beach access is an important priority for buyers, but is only available to the most exclusive properties, otherwise people are always on the lookout for sea views. According to Elaine prices on the island are rising, so now is probably a good time to take the plunge.

Luxury Living

The ultra-luxurious Arushi Villa sits on Anguilla’s most exclusive area of Rendezvous Bay. The property, with its Mediterranean style interiors, white walls and columned arches, enjoys breathtaking views. This is beachfront living at its finest, privacy combined with convenience – the ultimate luxury. The house, which is situated in a gated community overlooking a golf course and with amazing sea views, was built in 2010 and offers five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. A flowing floor plan with a Caribbean elegance makes the main level ideal for entertaining. The five master suites are complemented by marble bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers and baths. Located on the 18-hole Gregg Norman designed golf course, Arushi offers easy opportunities for a round of golf and equally easy access to the miles long sands of Rendezvous Bay. The villa enjoys an unusually spacious terrace, with a large heated pool and 12 person hot tub, and beautifully landscaped gardens – all a few short steps from the beach. The nearby addition of The Reef Resort and facilities has added value to this already exceptional property.
