Dutch Design Week has come and gone but there’s still time to learn how to paint like Van Gogh thanks to an unusual venture at the Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam.
Transformed by an exuberant makeover, the lobby incorporates vintage Persian rugs, antique furniture and historic and contemporary artworks alongside a library showcasing Pulitzer Prize winning books that hint at the history of the hotel. The immersive art experience taking place in partnership with the nearby Van Gogh Museum includes an overnight stay at Pulitzer Amsterdam with breakfast, a workshop on Van Gogh’s life and artworks, and a private painting lesson focusing on the exploration of colour and creativity with local artist, Mirjam ter Maat.
