Bessa is a Portuguese brand that brings back the charm of designs from the past through a new interpretation. The sculptural forms of the 1930s have inspired the company’s Liberty Collection of sofas and chairs made of cow leather from Normandy in France and brass. The tubular and steel structures that marked those years have been combined with a new inspiration that emphasises the antagonistic feeling of deprivation of liberty. The curvy and exaggerated shapes of the sofa´s arms symbolise the end of enclosed spaces which are transformed into open doors to freedom.
