A land of diverse terrain, one that is constantly surrounded by nature, from its beautiful beaches to desolate deserts and perfectly preserved forests, California is the third largest US state and the most populous.
There are four counties, which include the South Coast – home to Los Angeles and San Diego; the Central Coast where you will find Santa Barbara and Ventura; the San Francisco Bay Area, and the North Coast.
As far as the luxury property market goes, broker of Compass Real Estate, Latife Hayson says, “These are fascinating times in the real estate industry. The migration of people with means from Los Angeles, San Francisco as well as other large cities and even Bay Area communities to country areas like Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez Valley, Napa Valley, Healdsburg and Sonoma is extraordinary. We have never seen demand in the luxury market like we are seeing now.”
Jade Mills, owner of Jade Mills Estates also says the market is still booming, and for her it’s not just local clientele who are buying. “Because we are in Beverly Hills and Bel Air and Malibu, our areas are still selling. People are really wanting to be here. We have people from the UK who we’ve been sending out a lot of links for virtual tours and 3D tours so that they can see the properties. We’re in an area where you’re so close to the ocean. And in the wintertime, you’re so close to areas where you’re able to ski. We really have everything and I think that people are just feeling, it might be a good time to buy here.”
Latife Hayson says that areas which were once primarily a location for second homes are becoming more popular as locations for buyers to settle permanently. To view the full article click here.
