Cyprus’ newest five-star hotel is set to launch in the vibrant coastal town of Limassol this spring.
Stademos Hotels currently owns and operates two hotels in Cyprus, the superior four-star, 292-room Mediterranean Beach Hotel in Limassol and the five-star, 250-room Elysium in Paphos. In September 2015, works commenced on the company’s third hotel, Amara, a design-led property which is scheduled to open shortly.
The new hotel is ideally located above a sandy beach, with each of its 207 rooms and suites featuring unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea and wider horizon. The on-site spa has been conceived as a holistic haven, offering guests access to an extensive treatment menu. Additional facilities include a fully equipped gym, indoor heated pool, outdoor saltwater pool and an infinity pool overlooking the sea.
Three of five restaurants led by global celebrity chefs will position the hotel as a top gourmet hotspot in Cyprus. The newest NOBU Matsuhisa Limassol, will be joined by Ristorante Locatelli, of London-based Michelin-starred Giorgio Locatelli, in addition to Armyra by Papaioannou, a dedicated seafood restaurant celebrating island living.
Speaking of the new opening, managing director of Stademos Hotels, Demos Demosthenous, says, “We feel incredibly privileged to be working with two world-renowned Michelin-starred chefs Nobu Matsuhisa and Giorgio Locatelli, who will both bring their unique style to the hotel and further elevate the Amara experience for our culture-seeking guests, without compromising on Amara’s distinct Cypriot heritage.”
