Yuan Lih Construction is a multi-award winning company which develops and markets residential and office buildings throughout Taiwan. We find out more about two of its latest highly successful projects.
One Park Taipei has won an impressive total of six awards for Yuan Lih Construction in the prestigious Asia Pacific Property Awards 2019-2020, part of the long-established International Property Awards programme. Two of these awards are also at the highest ‘five-star’ level within the residential high-rise and multiple-residence architecture categories.
This landmark residential project comprises twin towers of 35 and 31 storeys respectively and is located in Taipei, adjacent to the beautiful Daan Forest Park. It was the stunning views of nature across the park that helped to inspire the architectural design of One Park Taipei. Featuring extensive use of glass, the buildings’ exteriors reflect the sunlight while the irregular structures of the balconies enhance the towers’ streamlined appearance. By adorning the buildings’ stairwells with orange laminated glass, the internationally renowned designer, RHSP, has created a truly eye-catching structure for the city.
Apartments within One Park Taipei are elevated above 12-metre tall entrance lobbies to give uninterrupted views from their spacious balconies and terraces. Each floor can be used as a single apartment of around 600m² or can be divided in half to create two smaller units. Landscaped gardens featuring mature trees and water features visually link the towers’ two sites, while the rear of the buildings house outdoor swimming pools with canopies for both shade and privacy, a gym and residents’ club.
Interiors are based on Western and Oriental elements and incorporate their charisma and native culture. The design highlights each building’s sensory experiences with glittering suspended artworks representing planets orbiting the globe. The combination of gold and silver colour palettes and fine materials and furnishings provide the perfect surroundings for a grand and exclusive lifestyle.

Peace Palace
Yuan Lih Construction’s mixed-use residential development Peace Palace has won a trio of property awards. Its architecture synthesises classical art history and modern culture, creating a figurative landmark. Designed on the basis of the new classical style, this towering 38-storey building with its crown-shaped roof symbolically bears reference to a mighty king on his throne.
Peace Palace’s architectural exterior simulates the style of a European castle with magnificent granite stonework and fascinating geometrical shapes. The building’s façade also resembles ancient Greek temples with its monumental appearance while also providing an earthquake-resistant residence. Peace Palace is adjacent to a well-preserved building constructed during the Japanese colonial period and this exemplifies the ennobling connection between the ancient and modern architectural cultures. At night, the street lights shimmer brightly on the building, adding a distinguishing allurement to its overall appearance.
By reducing the building’s coverage, a green belt has been created in the midst of the city. This has allowed for sidewalks, strips of public land and squares of open spaces. A safe and quiet area to the north-east of the site has been reserved for the cul-de-sac’s main plaza. This will help to establish Peace Palace’s recreational activities in an area with comfortable seats shaded by trees, promoting a free community environment.
