Greubel Forsey introduces the GMT Balancier Convexe, a complete overhaul of its predecessor. Housed in a newly shaped titanium case, now more compact at 42.90 mm, the watch combines practicality with refined mechanical complexity. The redesigned movement features 496 components, including a newly integrated 72-hour power reserve indicator. The signature inclined escapement remains, supported by black and barrel polished steel elements.
At the dial’s centre, the rotating terrestrial globe continues to mark universal time within a multi-layered display. The timepiece retains the distinctive architecture of the original while enhancing ergonomics and legibility. A sapphire disc on the reverse displays 24 cities, with La Chaux-de-Fonds now representing Central European Time. The GMT Balancier Convexe is currently the only GMT in the collection, showcasing Greubel Forsey’s focus on technical advancement, visual clarity, and precision engineering without compromising on finishing or structural integrity.
