Dubai: Branching Out

Ask anyone what image immediately comes to mind when they think
of Dubai and the chances are Palm Jumeirah will be at the top of their list.

We find out more about the Palm Tower Residences, Nakheel’s
latest addition to this ever-evolving, stunning destination.

Residents of The Palm Tower will enjoy the very best of the high life, be it inside or outside their apartment, at ground level or 240 metres up.

This award-winning, globally-recognised symbol of Dubai’s energy, growth and ambition is one of the world’s most sought-after places to live, work and visit. Spanning 560 hectares – enough to house 600 international football pitches – Palm Jumeirah is one of the largest manmade islands on the planet, and a vibrant, ever-growing residential, tourism and leisure destination.

Palm Jumeirah is a landmark in engineering, with a growing number of luxury residences and retail, hospitality and leisure facilities that provide accommodation, entertainment and amenities for 78,000 residents and the millions of tourists who visit each year.

The master developer behind Palm Jumeirah is Nakheel, which was appointed in 2001 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, under his vision to turn Dubai into a world-class hub for investment, living, business and tourism. The goal was to double the coastline of Dubai by adding 78 km of beachfront to the city’s original coastline, paving the way for the development of hundreds of seafront homes, resorts, hotel and attractions.

Using world-class designers and engineers, Nakheel set about delivering one of the world’s most recognised landmarks, starting with land reclamation – on a scale never attempted before – in 2001. Five years later, the island was complete, with the first residents collecting the keys to their new waterfront homes.

Since then, Palm Jumeirah has continued to evolve, with a multitude of luxury residences, resorts and attractions. As well as 1,500 beachfront villas and around 6,000 apartments, there are 21 world-class hotels in operation, with another 16 under development. There is also an abundance of leisure destinations by Nakheel such as The Pointe, Club Vista Mare, Golden Mile Galleria, The Boardwalk and Al Ittihad Park, the UAE’s first indigenous park, which opened in 2012.

Heights of hospitality

And now, Nakheel is taking luxury living and leisure to even greater heights with The Palm Tower, a new, hotel and residential landmark at the heart of the island. This stunning, 240 metre, 52-storey tower comprises a 289-room St. Regis hotel and 432 luxury apartments, topped off by a roof level dining and recreation complex featuring one of the world’s highest rooftop infinity pools on the 50th floor, a 51st level fine-dining restaurant and, at level 52, a public observatory called The View.

The Palm Tower Residences includes spacious studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, each with carefully-curated furniture, premium home appliances and high-quality finishes, with awe-inspiring views across Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s world-famous landmarks. The uppermost residences, on floors 46 and 47, come with three bedrooms, a maid’s room and a private balcony, offering the ultimate location from which to admire The Palm Tower’s beautiful views.

Residents of The Palm Tower will enjoy the very best of the high life, be it inside or outside their apartment, at ground level or 240 metres up. With the five-star St. Regis Dubai – The Palm occupying the first 18 floors, there is no shortage of premium dining and leisure amenities, including top flight restaurants and unrivalled health and fitness facilities. The St. Regis Beach Club, with a seafront infinity pool, state-of-the-art fitness facilities and a range of waterfront dining options, is also nearby. Residents can also swim with a view at the 50th floor infinity pool, which borders all four of the building, or dine in the sky at the rooftop restaurant.

The Palm Tower is connected to Nakheel Mall and its 350 shops, restaurants and amenities, providing on-the-doorstep shopping, dining and entertainment, and has its own Palm Monorail station offering convenient connectivity to the rest of Dubai. Palm Jumeirah’s ever-increasing attractions and facilities, including Al Ittihad Park and its 3.2 km jogging track, are also a stone’s throw away.

A limited number of apartments in The Palm Tower is available for investment.
