The UK was once the world capital of stained glass design, production and innovation, now English Antique Glass is its only remaining manufacturer of flat glass. An offshoot of one of the great 19th century Sunderland glassworks, it has decades of experience including handcrafting stained glass panes for York Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. Using artisanal techniques first developed in the 12th century, English Antique Glass offers free blown glass – a highly skilled process. Unlike homogenous mould-made glass, each piece features air bubbles and slight variations in design. The collection includes substantial glasses, paperweights, doorstops, vases, decanters and carafes.
