Finery: Going Green

This fabulous ring features a sugar loaf cabochon cut Colombian emerald weighing 8.59 carats. The emerald is set within a halo surround of single cut diamonds between shoulders set with bullet cut diamonds, all in a hand-crafted platinum mount.

Historically, the very finest quality emeralds have been found in Colombia, in particular three key mining areas – Muzo, Coscuez and Chivor. Stones from these locations are widely regarded to be the most beautiful and intense in colour with a purity of green unmatched by those from any other source.
