Florida is also the golf capital of the world with some 1,100 courses to suit every level of player, while Orlando is famous for its theme parks including Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, Legoland and Universal Studios.
As for properties, Danial Natoli of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, advises that prices for high-end homes range from $350 to just under $1,000 per square foot. “The median luxury home price is in the $1.5 million range according to a recent Institute of Luxury Home Marketing report,” he says. “I generally don’t like to give out a forecast, but I see steady prices for the next six months and a gradual yearly increase between 3% – 5%.” Mr Natoli anticipates that there will be increased interest for ultra-luxury large homes over 15,000 square feet with price tags above $15 million.
