Interiors: Mood changing lighting

Artem Zverev and Artur Sharf, co-founders of YoDezeen

Luxury and utility seem mutually exclusive when it comes to design, but these two things are exactly what customers more often than not ask for. In our projects, we commonly create an open plan zone that is created by the dramatic combination of living, dining, and kitchen areas. An open concept allows natural light, insolates every corner of the space and offers a sense of openness from one room to another.

In lounge areas we prefer to utilise eye-catching materials, from wood, concrete and metal to copper and stone. Natural finishing artfully unites with a sophisticated and quiet colour palette. To make an interior more dramatic and intriguing, we recommend adding spectacular features including greenery, lux pieces of furniture for everyday family use and modern art.

Lighting is also one of the essential elements of a lounge interior. For example, a large number of pendant lamps pairing with mirrors and glossy surfaces can fill the space with the tricks of light and reflections. Because of different lighting options we can change the mood of the room – from discreet to romantic and cosy.
