Valérie Barth Studio is a lifestyle design company based on France’s Côte d’Azur. The company’s founder, Valérie Barth takes her inspiration from the parameters of the project – the room itself and the environment as well as from the client.

She says, “Our lifestyles are changing in the modern world we live in today. Nowadays we find ourselves working more, the idea of a traditional family is not the same, and everything is more digitally advanced. Therefore, our way of thinking is changing as well and, when thinking of kitchens, people look for something more aesthetically attractive and technically facilitating.”

Valérie believes that today’s kitchens must be in agreement with living rooms but still treated as a separate piece of design in the home. “Space for eating a quick meal on a kitchen island is essential as is the integration of a built-in library in the living room shared with the kitchen space. The style favoured greatly today in kitchens is modern, like that of Caesar or Elio Home, composed of new materials such as natural smoked woods, green lacquers, composite stones and wonderful marble structures. Instead of being simple, a variation of textures can be considered and this can really revamp the look of a monochrome design.”

The innovation of a kitchen and its integrated technology is also an important factor. “This sets any kitchen apart from another and also represents the modern era we live in today,” advises Valérie. “Whether you’re a novice or master chef, your kitchen should look aesthetically inviting and innovative. With a basic oven range, a kitchen is just a kitchen, but with an electric oven range composed of digital features and an incorporated cover slide, your kitchen is now a piece of design within your home. Added features like small sophisticated backlights under the worktop, in baseboards and in cabinets will illuminate your kitchen in tremendous ways that will make you want to cook constantly.

“Also, do not forget that decorative lights can transform your kitchen into a living sculpture. Graphic, coloured, massive or unexpected, let’s have fun with a touch of elegance and an artistic touch that reveals the materials and the places. Finally, if there is a place in the home that need to be designed it
is for sure the kitchen. Take inspiration from the internet and be sure to have the right advice from a professional to install your personalised kitchen,
with style!”
