Luton Hoo Hotel Golf & Spa

This Grade I listed, 18th century mansion house has been painstakingly restored to its former glory and stands proudly within 1,065 acres of magnificent grounds landscaped by Capability Brown.

Ideally located on the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border, Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa is steeped in history, having once been owned by diamond magnate Julius Wernher. It hosted a visit from Sir Winston Churchill with a crowd of 110,000 to hear his address and has previously been graced by royalty with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip spending part of their honeymoon and subsequent anniversaries at Luton Hoo.

Since taking ownership of Luton Hoo, Elite Hotels has converted the mansion house into a five-star hotel, restoring its former Belle Époque-style glory, transforming the former stable block into a country club and spa, creating a new 18-hole golf course and constructing a brand-new, purpose-built, exclusive-hire venue, Warren Weir, for corporate events and weddings.

Other highlights of the 228-bedroom, five-star country house hotel include the fine-dining Wernher Restaurant and Adam’s Brasserie restaurant. It also offers excellent accessibility as London Luton Airport can be reached by car in just 10 minutes, while central London is only a 30-minute drive away.
