Designed by Floor Story’s in-house designer and Venezuelan, Adriana Jaroslavsky, the Topography rug focuses on the El Avila mountain. Recording a macro-element of its geographical lines in a hand-knotted feast of graduating colour, hand-carved texture and bamboo silk (viscose) and wool blends, Topography has explored the depths of rug craft.
Its 24 shades feature an extraordinary 528 different blends to achieve the final effect. With a base colour in wool, the finished effect is made even more striking with hand-carving. Giving Topography impressive varying textural depth and beautiful colour shifts, the hand-carving and bamboo silk/wool blends are hand-made in a 100-knot quality by certified weavers in Nepal.
