As part of its Private Collection, Rupert McBain Furniture has created this exquisite bespoke hall table made from three natural elements: oak, gold and stone. The latter element was supplied by Orlando Boyne of Britannicus Stone who, virtually single-handedly, is promoting luxury British stones and marble to an international clientele. Orlando is besotted with the sheer beauty of the natural stones from Britain and is the man sought after by designers and discerning clients looking to create bespoke objet d’art of exquisite splendour and rarity. When polished these historic stones, laid down over 350 million years ago, reveal their true magnificence and are used not only in luxury furniture and objects of beauty but also for flooring and any other interior surface. Most recently Burlington Arcade, London’s eponymous luxury shopping venue, re-laid its entire 220 metre walkway with Britannicus Stone.
