Soaring 75 storeys high in the city of Moscow, Mercury Tower is a major winner of the International Property Awards. We meet Aslan Ktsoev, CEO of Mercury Tower, to discover the secret of its success.

Mercury Tower, designed by the architect Frank Williams, features a glistening façade which makes the building resemble a precious gold bar. “It has energy-saving, gold-tinted glazing over the entire height of the tower,” explains Mr Ktsoev. “This provides a beautiful appearance as well as maintaining a comfortable temperature inside. At 300-metres high, our golden tower also has the highest media facade in Europe encircling it.”

The first eco-friendly building in Moscow, Mercury Tower is a mixed-use development comprising a number of different elements. Apart from offices and apartments, there is the specially dedicated Art Space and, from December to March, a theatre. “We also have Mercury Space, a venue for concerts and other events at an altitude of 177 metres,” continues Mr Ktsoev. “Covering an area of 1,000m², it has been recognised as the ‘Best Event Site in Europe’ and has a 360-degree panoramic view of the capital.”

Mercury Tower supports current innovative projects such as ‘Smart Building for Smart People’ for students and graduate students from leading universities in the country by hosting cultural events. “Our plan is to become
the centre of cultural life in Moscow City,” says Mr Ktsoev. “We have opened an exclusive Japanese restaurant Tora, which contains the best dishes of Asia. There is also a café-bakery, Dream Coffee, which offers organic desserts that completely exclude sugar.”

The tower has been specially designed to provide the highest safety levels for its occupants. It has two independent entrances, a back-up power supply in case of emergency and the latest state-of-the-art security systems.

So, having gained such prestigious accolades since its inception, what is the key to ensuring the ongoing success of such an iconic, landmark building? “Provide perfect customer comfort due to the high professionalism of the management company employees,” concludes Mr Ktsoev without hesitation. “If this succeeds, the influx of new consumers grows.”
