Sotheby’s Auctioned Prints of Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’ and ‘Self-Portrait’, Selling For Up To £1,805,000

Sotheby’s has already auctioned one momentous graphic work by Edvard Munch: The Scream, and is about to offer a second: 
Self-Portrait, both from 1895.
These important works are from a private Norwegian collection and were originally owned by Olaf Schou, the Norwegian industrialist, art collector and patron who was a friend and great supporter of Munch.
Sotheby’s auction in June marked the first appearance on the market of these prints. The Scream which was estimated at £800,000£1,200,000, was sold for £1,805,000 Now Self-Portrait is to go under the hammer with an estimate of £50,000£70,000.
