Cellini Time
Offered this year in four new versions, the Cellini Time from Rolex includes a touch of eternity with bezels resplendent with diamonds, like some of the dials. The applique hour markers are divided by a minute track that has been moved towards the centre of the dial, closer to the tips of the hands. Faceted and shaped like two-edged swords, the hands count off each second, minute and hour with the full precision of the self-winding chronometer movement at the heart of the timepiece.

For almost 80 years, Patek Philippe has defied time zones with ease. In 1959, its patented Travel Time mechanism became its own legend, and in 1996 attained a new level of perfection. Notably, when the local time hand is moved forwards or backwards in one-hour increments, an isolator uncouples the time-zone mechanism from the main movement.

Grande Seconde Deadbeat
Deadbeat seconds is an extremely rare complication. This technique means the seconds hand no longer moves smoothly, but in one-second jumps. The historically off-centred seconds hand is now central in the dial, while the space traditionally reserved for it is occupied by the retrograde date display. A new calibre has been created to power this association of deadbeat seconds, date and hour/minute module in this 88-piece limited edition.
