At the turn of the century, impressionist Paul Gauguin travelled to the tropical shores of French Polynesia to create some of his most renowned masterpieces. Today his namesake, the m/s Paul Gauguin, transports discerning guests to the same romantic Tahitian vacation paradise to explore, experience and escape. Built in 1998 in Saint Nazaire, France, the 332-guest m/s Paul Gauguin was designed specifically to allow guests the freedom to discover the exotic ports of the South Pacific without limitation. In January 2010, the ship sailed its first voyage as a member of the Pacific Beachcomber, SC portfolio. The Gauguin now hosts voyages ranging from a week to 17-night itineraries to experience stunning islands, white-sand beaches, blue lagoons and the vibrant Polynesian culture of this region. In 2012, the ship underwent a $7 million renovation featuring extensive enhancements to both the interiors and the exteriors. All suites and staterooms received new flooring and furniture was refinished with new fabrics. The renovations also included updates and additions to the ship’s dining venues – La Veranda, Le Grill and L’Etoile – as well as a new built-in banquette and expanded casino.

SeaDream Yacht Club was established in August 2001 and a month later took possession of two elegant, twin mega-yachts, which were renamed SeaDream I and SeaDream II. With a maximum of only 112 guests and a 95-person award-winning crew, the company’s tag line, ‘It’s yachting, not cruising’, defines not only the size of the vessels, but the onboard lifestyle and anticipatory service. Visiting small harbours and ports around the world, many inaccessible by larger ships, SeaDream provides yachting experiences ranging from four to 13-days. An incredible array of services, activities, water toys, dining, wine, premium drinks and gratuities are all provided in the inclusive fare.
Casual, sophisticated and unpretentious, the SeaDream experience is highlighted by outstanding service, delicious cuisine and visits to ports of call where you’ll rarely see another cruise ship. Itineraries are somewhat flexible, allowing the captain to linger in a port if passengers wish or to depart early if rain spoils plans. While onboard, guests can take advantage of the SeaDream Spa, with the highest therapist-to-guest ratio at sea, or launch wave runners, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards directly from the yacht’s marina.
