Born in London during the summer of 2012, VMI Studio is a creative Architectural Visualisation studio specialising in high fidelity graphics and experiential Virtual Reality for the property sector. Whilst developers have been using CGI for more than 20 years to attract buyers, still imagery, however beautiful, has always been limited in terms of truly engaging and enthralling customers. As an early-adopter of Virtual Reality technology, VMI saw, through recent advances in Virtual Reality, an opportunity to give potential purchasers a true experience of their future home.
Where VMI had a concept, Higgins Group Plc, one of the largest construction companies in South East England, was simultaneously looking for a solution to allow potential buyers a more experiential medium for understanding their potential property, off-plan. VMI took out its concept to Higgins Homes who were instantly captivated by the idea. The group commissioned VMI to create a virtual reality experience for a two-bedroom apartment at its newest 158-unit scheme in Stoke Newington, The Clissold Quarter. Displacing the traditional show flat, VMI Studio’s Virtual Reality Marketing Suite has been a huge success allowing developers to sell rapidly off-plan whilst giving consumers the ultimate engaging experience with their future home. VMI has since gone on to work with a number of the UK’s largest home-builders and continues to pioneer the sector.
