The Yard-O-Led Pencil Company was founded in London, in 1934 by a gentleman named Brenner in order to produce his patent propelling pencils. Each one contained 12 three-inch leads, thus totalling 36 inches or a ‘yard of lead’. Since then, the company has produced a number of stylish models, such as this Yard-O-Led Viceroy Grand Victorian Fountain Pen.
