The largest of the seven Canary Islands, Tenerife has much to offer tourists of all ages, while those planning to visit more frequently will find a wide choice of fabulous properties in stunning locations.

Sometimes described as ‘the island of a thousand experiences’, Tenerife is ideal for exploring all year round thanks to its wonderful weather and excellent tourist infrastructure. The island features Spain’s highest mountain, the third highest volcano in the world and Teide National Park. An abundance of marine life can be found just off the coast, including baleen whales, killer whales, dolphins, pilot whales and even blue whales. Last but not least, there are eight golf courses to suit every level of player.

Agata Kowalczyk, founder of Agata’s Real Estate, comments, “Not only does Tenerife offer the mildest climate in the world, it also has a laid-back attitude and at the same time is vibrant, vivid and full of culture. We see international buyers present from farther away than ever before, who appreciate especially these features as well as the island’s safety. Tenerife will soon become not only a European destination, but an even more cosmopolitan refuge.”

Abama Resort on the south west coast of Tenerife is proving popular due to its wealth of services and amenities all on site. Maya Peychinova, sales representative, says, “We are now in our peak selling season for the Canary Islands especially for high-end properties and this typically lasts until the Easter holidays. Properties in a resort with luxury brands offering Michelin stars and extra services (like private chefs cooking in villas, owners’ clubs with advantages and exchange programmes) are highly sought after by clients who are buying, in part, due to these services. A resort offering all of these is not easy to find.”

According to Ms Peychinova, the majority of buyers at Abama still come from northern European countries such as the UK, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. “We are also seeing a spread of clients from new countries such as Scandinavia, Iceland, Poland, Chechia and Russia,” she reports. “After rapid increases in pricing over the last two years, prices are now more stabilised and at a sensible level. In terms of what product is proving most popular, both apartments and villas are in demand but service is always linked in with this with buyers seeking professional and seamless support whilst in residence.”
