Regency Chandelier Restored by Fritz Fryer

Fondly referred to as ‘the wedding cake’ by the restorers at Fritz Fryer,
this fabulous Regency chandelier is attributed to John Blades, established 1783 -1829. The multiple tiers of its ormolu frame feature exquisite hand pinned crystal rule-cut faceted drops, while eight external gilt arms and eight internal arms, light up the inside and outside.

Hobnail cut candle pots and cut glass bobeches then sit elegantly around the lower drop frame. The refraction provided by the crystal is eye-catchingly beautiful, making it a remarkable statement piece for a grand drawing room or stairwell.
