A piece of Everest

The Astronomia Everest Tourbillon is the result of a collaboration between explorer Johan Ernst Nilson and watchmaker Jacob & Co.

Incorporating three of Nilson’s greatest expeditions, this amazing timepiece features transparent vials containing water collected by him at both poles, and a shard of rock from Mount Everest. The timepiece is powered by Jacob & Co’s iconic double-axis tourbillon movement, including a spinning 288-facet Jacob-cut diamond, and a rotating magnesium globe. For the first time ever, the Astronomia Everest features Super-LumiNova on its hands, the globe, the constellations on the Celestial Vault, and even on the strap. The Astronomia Everest Tourbillon is limited to 24 pieces (12 with a black dial, 12 with a blue dial).

Trip of a lifetime

To help make a difference, thanks to Johan Nilson and Jacob & Co. 10% of the price of each Astronomia Everest will be donated to charity. In addition, purchase of this timepiece includes a helicopter trip for two with Johan Nilson to the spot on Everest where the rock in the watch was found “I want this special timepiece to help make a change in the world,” says Nilson. Please mention IP&T when enquiring.
