Sporting Spirit – Porsche has expanded its all electric Macan range with the arrival of the new Macan GTS, bringing greater performance and sharper driving dynamics to the marque’s electric sports utility vehicle. Positioned below the Turbo model, the Macan GTS produces up to 571 horsepower with Launch Control, accelerating from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds while offering a range of up to 586km.

Tailored Speed
Maserati has revealed a one-of-a-kind GT2 Stradale created through its Fuoriserie personalisation programme for a collector in Taiwan. Inspired by the legendary MC12, the bespoke model celebrates the marque’s racing heritage while showcasing the craftsmanship that defines every Fuoriserie commission.
Unveiled at Maserati’s headquarters in Modena, the supercar features a striking combination of Matte Digital Mint, Nero Essenza and vibrant yellow detailing inspired by the Vitaphone Racing MC12 GT1. Carbon fibre aerodynamic components, centre-lock wheels and carbon ceramic brakes reinforce its competition-inspired character, while the cabin pairs black Alcantara with yellow contrast stitching, bespoke trim and a dedicated Tribute to MC12 plaque created exclusively for its owner. Powered by Maserati’s 640-horsepower Nettuno V6 engine, the GT2 Stradale accelerates from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds and exceeds 199 miles per hour, creating a fitting tribute to one of the brand’s most iconic racing cars.
Ferrari Passion at Prescott
Classic and modern Ferraris took centre stage at one of the UK’s best-loved hill-climb venues
The best performance car owners’ club in the UK has to be the Ferrari Owners’ Club. Its dedicated team of staff and volunteers organises an impressive programme of social gatherings, UK and overseas excursions, gala dinners, concours competitions, track days and race meetings. This year, the Club’s National Owners’ Day took place at Prescott Hill Climb in the Cotswolds, near Cheltenham.
Prescott is home to the Bugatti Owners’ Club, founded in 1929, and is regarded by many as the spiritual home of the Ferrari Owners’ Club. Over the decades, some of motor racing’s most celebrated drivers have competed on its famous course. Stirling Moss raced there in 1948 at the wheel of a Mk II Cooper, while the outright hill-climb record was set by Matthew Ryder in 2024 with a time of 34.6 seconds in his Judd V8-powered single-seater. For the National Owners’ Day, 217 Ferraris assembled beside the track, creating a spectacular display of classic and contemporary models.
A selection also competed on the hill, with Dave Snelson taking first place among the Ferrari entrants in his 488 GTB, recording a time of 46.54 seconds. The action was by no means restricted to Ferraris. A varied field of road-legal and track-only machinery tackled the course, including Minis, Caterhams, single-seaters and even a Tesla. Prescott’s course is barely wider than a country lane in places, combining tight hairpins, short straights and blind bends. Watching such a diverse collection of cars being driven at speed on this historic, demanding hill climb made for a thrilling spectacle. The Ferrari Owners’ Club welcomes the general public to several of its events, and enthusiasts can even join without owning a Ferrari, although spending a day surrounded by more than 200 examples may leave them determined to change that.

The Art of Horsepower at Bolesworth

Fifteen years ago, Nina Barbour established what has become one of Britain’s most prestigious equestrian festivals. Set within the magnificent grounds of Bolesworth Castle near the historic city of Chester, the event has grown from a leading showjumping competition into an internationally recognised celebration of sporting excellence, lifestyle and luxury.

The 2026 Bolesworth International welcomed professional and amateur riders from around the world for two weeks of world-class show jumping between 26 June and 5 July. Alongside the sporting action, the inaugural Art of Horsepower Bolesworth Concours made a spectacular debut, presenting an outstanding collection of historic and collector automobiles.
The concours featured carefully curated classes celebrating some of the world’s most iconic marques and automotive achievements, including British Sporting Icons, Coachbuilt Masters, Italian Thoroughbreds and Racing Legends, together with single-marque displays dedicated to Bentley and Mercedes-Benz.
Taking the coveted Best in Show honours was the magnificent 1933 Standard Swallow SS1 Coupé, owned by Michael Jewell, from the Coachbuilt Masters category. The concours also showcased remarkable examples of automotive history, including Jaguars once owned by Formula One legend Sir Stirling Moss and Hollywood icon Clark Gable, adding further prestige to an already exceptional field.
Unlike many classic car events, a concours d’elegance is not simply a display of beautiful automobiles. Each vehicle is meticulously examined and judged on its authenticity, originality and condition, with particular emphasis placed on preserving its factory specification. Whether painstakingly restored or carefully preserved, these rare and historic motor cars represent an important part of our cultural and engineering heritage, ensuring future generations can continue to appreciate their artistry, innovation and craftsmanship.
The Art of Horsepower has created something genuinely distinctive: a celebration where the elegance, precision and pedigree of the world’s finest horses are mirrored by some of the most beautiful automobiles ever built. It is a fitting addition to the Bolesworth International and a compelling reason for collectors and enthusiasts alike to make the event an annual fixture in their calendars.

Silverstone Revival
Racing History Comes Alive at the BRDC Classic
Silverstone reverberated with the sound of some of the world’s most celebrated competition cars as the inaugural BRDC Classic brought three days of historic motor racing to the home of British motorsport.
Held from 24-26 July and shaped by the involvement of the British Racing Drivers’ Club, the event celebrates the cars, drivers and defining moments that have contributed to Britain’s extraordinary motor-racing heritage. I attended the event to see an exceptional collection of machinery spanning almost every era of the sport, from pre-war racers and 1950s sports cars to historic touring cars, GT3 machines, endurance racers and Formula One cars from the sport’s golden years.
More than 12 hours of racing took place across the weekend, including the Stirling Moss Trophy, Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy, Historic Touring Car Challenge, and the spectacular GP Icons and Endurance Icons grids. Watching these valuable machines being driven competitively, rather than displayed as static museum pieces, brought their history vividly back to life.
Away from the circuit, visitors could explore extensive owners’ club displays, meet drivers and motorsport personalities, watch historic kart demonstrations, and view an impressive selection of competition and collectors’ cars offered by Iconic Auctioneers.
The BRDC Classic succeeds in combining serious historic racing with the atmosphere of a relaxed motoring festival. It offers enthusiasts the increasingly rare opportunity to see, and hear, some of motorsport’s most important cars being driven as their creators intended: fast, hard and in competition.

Carbon Masterpiece
MANSORY has unveiled the Carbonado X, a one-off interpretation of the Lamborghini Revuelto created exclusively for its Dubai showroom. Developed through the company’s Bespoke programme, the striking supercar features an entirely redesigned carbon fibre body, showcasing the marque’s expertise in advanced engineering and craftsmanship.
Inspired by the celebrated Carbonado models first introduced in 2012, the latest creation combines dramatic styling with exceptional performance. A redesigned front apron, bonnet, side skirts, roof scoop, rear diffuser and extendable rear spoiler enhance both appearance and aerodynamic efficiency, while lightweight forged wheels and carbon ceramic components complete the purposeful design. Inside, dark Alcantara is complemented by turquoise detailing, illuminated accents and bespoke finishes that reflect the car’s exclusive character. Power comes from a revised 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 working alongside three electric motors to produce a remarkable 1,120 horsepower. The result is breathtaking performance, with a top speed of 355 kilometres per hour and a sprint from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 2.3 seconds, making the Carbonado X one of MANSORY’s most dramatic creations to date.
