Alessandro Cavalcanti e Ricardo Makhoul Arquitetura, a practice based in Londrina, Brazil, has spent the past 25 years developing architecture and interior design projects across the residential, commercial and corporate sectors. With projects completed in cities across Brazil, as well as recent work in Lisbon, Portugal, the practice has built a body of work guided by the pursuit of contemporary, functional and context-sensitive design solutions.
The company’s creative process begins with a careful assessment of each site’s characteristics and each client’s specific needs, resulting in projects that balance functional intelligence, technical precision and aesthetic quality.
Working across multiple scales, the practice’s portfolio includes urban interventions, landscape design, architecture, interiors and bespoke furniture, taking an integrated approach to the design of space.
This approach is reflected in the Vétri Store, a flagship showroom for high-end Brazilian furniture in Londrina. Developed as a complete architecture and interior design project, the space creates a dialogue between architecture, design and the city, bringing together customer experience, personalised service and product presentation within a cohesive spatial environment.
Covering 2,500m2, the project combines finely detailed joinery, carefully composed settings, natural daylight integrated with the lighting design, and a considered selection of materials, textures and colours. The result is a welcoming, sophisticated and enduring interior that expresses the brand’s identity while creating a memorable spatial experience.
